Setup Dial-up for PeoplePC to Bypass Smart Dialer

 

1. Click on the Start button (lower left corner of screen).
2. Click on All Programs.
3. Click on Accessories, then Communications, then New Connection Wizard.
4. On the New Connection Wizard screen, click on the Next button.
   
   
   
   
   
5. On the next screen, select Connect to the Internet and click the Next button.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Select Set up my connection manually, and then click on the Next button.
   
   
   
   
   
7. Select Connect using a dial-up modem, and then click on the Next button.
   
   
   
   
   
8. In the ISP Name box, type in PeoplePC Dial-up, and click on the Next button.
   
   
   
   
   
9. In the Phone number box, type in the phone number and click on the Next button.  The phone number is 360-612-3020.
   
   
   
   
   
10. On the next screen, type in your full account info and password (in BOTH password boxes), and leave both other boxes checked.  MUSIC_1@peoplepc.com, awesam.  Then click on the Next button.
    
    
    
    
    
11. Check the Add shortcut to my desktop box and click on the Finish button.  This should now be you default connection and NOT bring up the smart dialer.
